Frida Kahlo is considered one of the most important artists of the twentieth century. Did you know: growing up, Kahlo actually had aspirations of becoming a doctor. She enjoyed art from an early age, and was talented, but didn't consider it a potential career at that point. In 1925 however, she was aboard a bus when it crashed into a streetcar. The accident left Kahlo with serious injuries that she endure for the remainder of her life. During her recovery, she passed the time with painting, mostly self-portraits, which in her words, "...because I am often alone and I am the subject I know best." Fits women's shoe size 5-10.
